Hancilloo #3: What does the Oromo word LEELLOO mean?

Published by Associate Editor on

We believe the word is INTIMATE or INTIMATE based on how it is used.

Usage Example:

The root verb word is leelissuu. LEELLOO is a beautiful female name while LEELLISAA is the male counterpart.

The verb form can be used to express intimate friends as in Gammadaa fi Caalaa’n baayyee wal leellissu.

It, therefore, follows that: Gammadaa fi Caalaa’n LEELLOOdha.
