The JOURNAL OF AFAN OROMO is delighted to invite submissions of research articles, opinion essays, poetry, Oromo book reviews, and other works that directly or indirectly contribute to the development of Afan Oromo. We value your unique perspectives and insights, and we encourage diverse voices within our community to enrich the discourse.

Submission Criteria:

Content Types: We accept submissions across various genres, including research articles, opinion essays, poetry, and Oromo book reviews.

Word-Length: The proposed publication material, in plain text format, should ideally fall within the range of 1200 to 4000 words. We appreciate well-elaborated pieces that provide depth and insight.

Format: Please submit your work in a Word document. Depending on the nature of the content, we may offer secure guest access for direct editing on our website. Feel free to explore this option for a more interactive submission process.

Non-Text Materials: Illustrations and multimedia materials (image, video, audio) to be included with the publication must be submitted separately rather than embedded with the text material. We can arrange an upload or you can use the submission email (see below) to send as an attachment.

Review Process:

Rigorous Review: Research articles undergo a thorough review process led by experts in the relevant field. Other submission types may also be subject to reviews based on the nature of the content.

Revision and Feedback: Authors may be requested to revise their submissions in light of reviewers’ comments. We believe this collaborative approach ensures the highest quality of published material.

Minimum Standard: Submissions not meeting the minimum standard may be declined. Our commitment is to maintain excellence in the content we publish.
